Work Injury (L&I)
If you have been injured on the job The Balanced Spine can be your treating chiropractic doctor.
Our doctors have treated numerous Workerʼs Compensation patients and we are familiar with the Workerʼs Compensation system.
I’ve Been Injured - What Do I Do First?
If you are injured while working, you must first appropriately report to your employer
as soon as possible after the injury. It then becomes your employerʼs responsibility
to report the injury to Washington State Labor and Industries or other Self-
Insurance. One of the most common disabling injuries on the job is strain and sprain
of the spine or repetitive motion injury. Most frequently the strain or sprain occurs in
the lower back. Bending and lifting improperly are responsible for most of these
cases, although neck and mid-back injuries can also occur in similar situations.
How Can The Balanced Spine Help?
Our program of treatment at The Balanced Spine provides effective relief for our
patients injured on the job, and requires no hospitalization, surgery, or medication.
We focus on utilizing the body's inherent recuperative powers and the relationship
between the spinal column, nervous system and the rest of the body to restore and
maintain good health. In our experience with industrial and occupational injuries, we
know how important it is for you to return to work quickly and yet at the same time
with as complete of a recovery as possible. We will work with you to reach this goal.
The Balanced Spine’s program of exercises will be suggested to strengthen supporting
muscles of the spine as well as educating you on proper spinal mechanics to
prevent future injuries. These steps have been successful in returning our patients to
their normal and productive lifestyles.
What About The Paperwork?
Documentation is also a huge concern for anyone involved in an accident. If the
office does not keep detailed and accurate records, the patients claim may be
reduced or even denied. Our office uses a very comprehensive documentation
system which tracks the entire process. Our concierge billing department will assist
you in your L&I paperwork and simplify your healing process.
